The Story of
Our Boutique

Lalo Clothing
Our Passion
Our adventure in sustainable fashion began on June 16, 2021 in the vibrant city of San Jose, Costa Rica. Located in a charming space that was once a restaurant, our boutique underwent a careful transformation to become a classic French-inspired store, evoking the timeless elegance of a small French village.
The idea behind this boutique was born out of necessity and passion. After losing two previous jobs, I decided it was time to fulfill a lifelong dream: to combine my love of fashion design with a commitment to sustainability. Having studied fashion design in Paris during the vibrant 80's and growing up surrounded by talented seamstress family members, I have always been inspired by the art of creation and the potential to give materials a second life.
We started modestly, focusing on recycled jackets and jeans, filling a niche in San Jose for unique, eco-friendly clothing. Each garment was a labor of love, designed to reduce waste while celebrating individuality and craftsmanship.
Today, our boutique continues to be a haven for sustainable fashion enthusiasts, offering carefully crafted recycled garments that tell their own story. Each stitch is a tribute to my roots, my journey and my dream of creating a more sustainable future, one garment at a time.
